Looks like the OD is still non-functional... it got as far as the log in screen and stalled. We picked the girls up from the vet at 3.30 yesterday. They were VERY glad to be home. Poor Tessie looked absolutely miserable in her carrier, but she perked up once she got into her familiar surroundings. We were supposed to feed them very lightly last night but they were both STARVING from not eating all day. Tessie was digging into the wastepaper basket to try to find food! So I gave them a little kitten food, and then I gave them some more a couple of hours later. Tessie felt well enough to eat some kibble too, which surprised me. She just had two fangs pulled and I would think it would hurt her mouth to chew, but she was hungry enough she didn't care... they're supposed to be eating normally today, but I'll give them some gooshy for breakfast instead of making them eat kibble. Silver was eating normally because she only had one fang pulled, but she was really pissy at us for making her go through the whole vet thing and she didn't forgive us until bedtime, when I picked her up and carried her into the bedroom (complaining all the way) for her normal bedtime snuggle. She likes to sleep between us on the bed, but she was too mad last night to come of her own accord. Now we have the fun of trying to medicate them for the next week... what joy!
I'm sneezy and snuffly and wheezy today. I suddenly started coughing and had to use my inhaler last night, and again when I woke up this morning. Ick. I hope it's not starting a pattern - I went off my advair in August and I'd hate to have to go back onto it. It's an expensive pain in the rump and I'd much rather do without it. I think it's because the weather's turned. It's MUCH colder than it was just last week... it seems like Fall has finally come to South Florida. I had to dig some warmer clothes out and put the blanky on the bed because the air-conditioner was over-cooling me. Of course my idea of 'cold' is not the same as you guys up north... my 'warmer clothes' are just a light jacket and a knitted skirt instead of a thin cotton one, not snow pants! I just gave away a really thick fleece jacket because I've NEVER been cold enough to actually wear it since somebody else passed it on to me three years ago.
