This year, my husband started his study as engineer for a year. So eventually he makes friends which of course I have no problem about it. But one particular guy annoyed the hell out of me, sometimes I have the urge to slap him right at his face, but I control, but I worry one day I will snapped.
Let name this friend “J”. At first he was an ok friend, but soon I realize that he is leeching over my husband, maybe my husband do not feels this way but to me, he is. I cooked dinner everyday, and we are on tight budget, so normally I cooked enough for 2 of us. But since my husband is having “study group” J comes for dinner too. The problem is, he eat a lot, and he eat all the expensive ingredients I put on the table. He even wasted my “Rare” collection of soy sauce by pouring a “gigantic” amount into his food!!!
Don’t buy expensive ingredients you said? Sometimes I just wanted to eat something luxury and I do not want to have him here, but nope is impossible because he will always be here, leeching on all the foods I am serving!
He even insulted my cake by dipping the cake I bake into the curry sauce I make for dinner. Who the hell do that?
I remember cooking a local dish from my country so it have prawn in it, since prawn is very expensive here, so I bought only a few, I allocate each guests 2 big prawns, but to my horror, he asked another friend “Named him L” of his to give him the prawn, so the other friend do not get to eat the prawn, i know “L” do not mind, but this make me see who he actually is!
Sometimes I have to allocate the foods for him because he just come and ended up I do not have enough food to serve me and my husband.
Worse of all, he comes to every date I have with my husband. We went for afternoon tea, he will tag along, we went for Christmas Market he will tag along, we went for movies he will tag along, we went to another town he also tag along. When my husband asked me if I want to invite him along, I have to say no. But this is rare because my husband discuss the plan with him! He have a gf but his gf is far away so he spent all his time here in my house! I do not open a charity house, so I do not have any obligation to feed him!
I remember we wanted to drive to another town but the town was on strike due to some political problem, so we turned back, and my husband asked do i want to go to Ikea, I said yes and “J” immediately say no, so my husband just drove us home.
He even complaint about my cleaning skills in the house, said I do not know how to clean the house right in front of my husband. HELLO!!!!!! Only my husband can complaint, and hello if you stop bringing everything belongs to you and put in my apartment then maybe I have enough space to put stuffs away. The apartment we rented now not only for our goods, but his goods too. My husband gave him our house key when we were away for summer holiday, and I came back with horror when my apartment have extra chairs and junks! The living room is so small in this rented apartment and now it became smaller!
So yesterday he being so “nice” saying he will go for grocery on Monday morning before class, and told me I should serve salad on Monday. What I want to serve is my problem right, why the hell you want to control what I serve for dinner, if you want to have salad, go and make yourself. I enjoy eating warm food because I am Chinese. So I ended up have to give in and serve salad on Tuesday. I guess he been eyeing on my expensive 25 years vinegar. He tasted a few times when we had dinner.
Oh not to forget he overstays his welcome, normally he will stay until 8-9pm. So i ended up have no time with my husband!!!!!
Only this year I able to cook good foods, because I able to get all the ingredients here, once we go back to our small village, even fresh meat is a difficult task to get.
ahhhh I hate this friend but I do not know what I can do, because my husband gets mad at me when I talks about the friends or his ex wife. I struggle for many months to whether I should I write this posts or not but I think I am at my limit to rant it out.
