I was going to visit my mom at the hospital she is there for Pancreatitis. I noticed when she was talking on the phone she was slurring. I asked if she was alright she said she was tired. I told her get some sleep I love her and I won't come over. I wanted to be sure I got some rest.
I decided instead dealing with my mom's toxic family I decided for Christmas the gift to myself was stay home and take care of my son. My mom kept telling me I had to go to my aunt Beckys but after my last experience being so negative I refused. Mom kept arguing do it or else. I ignored her request. I stayed home did dishes, clothes and cleaned between taking care of my son Leo. With mom being in the hospital I see an opportunity focus on cleaning the house. When my Aunt Becky called my husband he didn't answer the phone. We decided my Aunt wasn't worth the agrivation. For Christmas my husband and I deserved peace.
My brother Tom and my best friend Tella came over. Tella watched Leo while Tom and I cleaned the house and loaded garbage into Toms truck to be hauled off. I was having a good time for mom to ring. I told mom how great we were doing cleaning and how grateful I am for Tom and Tella. Mom said she was giving $50 for watching Leo. Mom kept making herself the center of attention going on about her recent money making scheme's. I let her talk while Tella watched the baby my brother Tom and I cleaned.
Tella was arguing with her mom Della frustrated. Della once again was telling Tella how her brother Eddie was better than her. Della complain my 6 month old son's babbling and occasional cries inconvenience her because how dare he interrupt her. Tella muted her mom asking you believe this crap? I told her it's ok you are unofficially adopted. I know we are only 4 years apart in age but I told her I am her new mother now. Tella laughed.
She unmuted the car listen to her mom Della be her usual toxic self. Della as always said Tella is the lesser child compared to Eddie. I know Eddie she isn't exactly getting a pot of gold there. Tella used my son crying for milk as an excuse to get off the phone. I made Leo a bottle and Tella thanked my son feeding him. Tella loves Leo so much. I am lucky to have Tella as my best friend.
While my husband was at work I separated out multiple books to get rid of. Tom help me haul a load of garbage while Tella watched my son. Knowing Leo was cared for while I did these chores were a great relief. I created lots of progress in one afternoon.
My best Friend Tella got me a jack skellington wallet,her bf got me $10 in foreign currency from another country anaware I collect unique coins and foreign money. My brother gifted me a book. I was incredibly grateful. I rather have a few presents from the ones that matter than a million presents from untrustworthy people.
My brother Tom helped as long as he could. Tellas bf Tyler picked her up from the house. I thanked him for letting her stop by.
Tella offered yesterday to come by and care for Leo for me to clean. Tella is priceless and I love her so much. She said after I visit my mom in the morning and get my husband to work today she will talk to me while I catch up on my chores. God blessed me when he gave me Tella.
My husband came in from a long day seeing all we accomplished. He was shocked how much Tom me and Tella got done.
I am no longer cleaning for my mom I decided all this hard work is dedicated to my beautiful son Leo. God blessed me when I was given him.
I am going check with moms hurt how she is doing medically and I am going to sleep a bit before I visit mom in the mornings.
The current stage in my life is just survive. I hope someday to thrive.
