Wow this month has been wayyyy too busy. I can’t believe how quickly it has flown by. I feel like I have a million things on my mind to remember at all times. Very stressful! Anyways…as for weight loss efforts I’m continuing to do well. I had my 2nd week weigh in and lost a pound and my 3rd week weigh in is tomorrow morning but I’m sure I’ll do fine as I got sick Thursday night and didn’t consume a single calorie on Friday and yesterday I didn’t eat very much either. Great way to lose way. NOT! Omg that was gross. What happened was that Thursday night I started heading to work even though I didn’t feel great, then 15 minutes into the drive I realized I felt truly awful so I started heading home and when I was literally less than a minute away from home I started throwing up all over the car. Ewwwwwwwwww. This is our car we only got a few months ago brand new too! We’ve cleaned it all up now but yuck. So anyways, I walked in the door and Mike said Cody had just thrown up in his bed too. Thus began the night from hell where Cody and I went to sleep in our bed and took turns sharing a bucket all night to throw up in. And the thing is, a 3 year old will just throw up all over themselves so I had to jump up as soon as I felt him starting and grab the bucket. Definitely didn’t get much sleep THAT night.

So Mike took Friday off of work and took care of us. And at some point Miles threw up a few times too. Then Friday night once we were all in bed Mike was sick to his stomach. And so he was sick part of yesterday while the rest of us were feeling somewhat better. Soooooo glad that’s over. I totally wouldn’t recommend it as a weight loss strategy even though I did like the number I saw when I peeked on the scale yesterday morning lol.

We are still working on figuring out what to get the kids for Christmas although I think we’re getting a sled for Cody from Santa and then a car toy with a ramp for both of them since we’ve never had one and kids tend to want to have something fun to play with right when they wake up instead of a sled, you know? Plus, I’ve seen both of them play with one when we’ve been at playplaces.

Miles is really thrilling me by coming out with words which to me seems young at only 15 months. He can say hi, bye, cracker, more, up, yeah, mama, dada, all done. Pretty cool as Cody only knew mama and dada until I think he was around 20 months at which point he learned “hi” lol.

We took Cody skating for the first time last weekend. Mike has it in his head that Cody has to start hockey next winter so this year he needs to learn how to skate. Sure, whatever lol. So my MIL actually went and bought him a helmet and skates when Mike visited her with Cody recently. Ok then. So we took him skating. Mike stood in the middle of the rink with him and practiced. He said it was really hard on his back because Cody took the longest before he could even stand up on his skates but he was trying and seemed happy about it and wants to go skating again so I guess it’s something we will do semi-regularly to try to teach him. Next time I’m wearing my skates too apparently and we’ll switch back and forth passing off Miles when each person gets tired lol. I hope we can teach him! We’re going to need to go to a rink that has one of those push bars I think soon so he can try that way. This one said that wasn’t allowed during recreational skating.

It finally felt like the Christmas season yesterday when I took the kids grocery shopping and heard Christmas music as soon as I turned the radio on and saw Christmas trees being sold. I’m sure it will feel even more like it once we get our tree next weekend. I would decorate the house more but I have no skill in that area and the one year I tried it looked horrible. So the tree and our outside lights are basically it over here for now.

We have barely bought anything for anyone so far in terms of gifts but will soon. We are waiting to have MIL over for a weekend so we can leave the kids with her for a day and head to the mall with our lists. I’ve bought the kids some books and my mom a necklace so far and that’s it.

I took the kids to have Christmas mini’s taken at a photographer nearby this week. She is giving me 5 edited pictures of them on a disk that I can do anything I want with. The preview she showed me on facebook is cute but omg it was ridiculous trying to get good pictures of these kids. First, Cody fell as soon as we got there so he was crying. Then he sat there looking all grumpy refusing to smile no matter what we said or offered him. Then Miles kept wandering away from the Christmas backdrop where she was taking the pictures of them. Then Cody was doing this weird thing where he was holding his shoulders up and smiling strangely with his eyes closed lol. Omg! Miles was actually pretty good compared to Cody. I dressed them in plaid shirts. Miles’ was green and Cody’s was red and of course we were almost late getting there because I went to put on Miles’ BRAND NEW shirt and two buttons popped off so I had to sew them back on in like 30 seconds. Whew! Crazy life with kids I’ll tell ya. And now I have to go because Miles is munching on cat food for the millionth time. Wth!
