On Tuesday we had parent teacher conferences at the middle school for Timmy and Kayla. On Wednesday there were parent teacher conferences at the elementary school for Aaron. For the middle school we went in and met with all their teachers. They said Kayla and Timmy are doing well. At first Timmy had some problems with organizations. The teachers have been working with him to make sure he writes down all of his assignments. He is doing better now. Kayla is quiet in class, but the teachers have noticed she is talkative with her friends. They want to encourage her to raise her hand in class, since she is doing well in her written work and knows the answers to questions. Aaron is doing well. The fourth graders write a paragraph each day in class. His teacher has been working with him on the elements of a paragraph, and he is doing much better.

On Thanksgiving morning we had some trouble with our tv cable. I couldn’t get the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade online so we watched the Thanksgiving parade from Chicago. I had never seen this one before. There were a lot of dance and singing acts as well as balloons. The kids liked the Arthur balloon.

We spent Thanksgiving with my husband’s cousins. They have a big party for Thanksgiving. We had a yummy turkey with lots of sides. We also watched football. Some of the young cousins were high school age and some were elementary school age. The kids hung out with the upper elementary school kids, fifth and sixth graders. They are still a little young for their age. The closest older kid in age to them was fourteen, so a little older than they were.

We are having a computer changeover so I may not be on here for a few days.
