Thoughts about buying an apartment worries me still, because that could be catastrophic in this country.
Although, right now another problem seems more present - my back hurts more often - even despite trying out daily back exercises. At some point today I started considering a new, adjustable table instead of my "gaming" one. The idea is that maybe I can stand for some time and sit for some time and it will help my back not to feel that bad, although I cannot know if I'll be able to stand for enough periods of time. Anyway, I started checking out what tables can be bough here, and looks like the most first choice that I have is almost the same table as I have, but with adjustable height!
It costs a lot, but not as much as my chair, so I can afford it, even now. The problem is, should I buy this table? It looks nice, and the rgb strips will be working, since my old ones died out already. And it will have a better cable management with enough space for a power strip. The problem is, though, that the "carbon" material on the table is not that cool, meaning it's hard to clean and easy to damage. The biggest problem is, though, the fact that one of my monitors is connected to my windowsill. So, if I move my table up, the monitor will be in the way. So, it's either to attach monitor to a table, which will place it at a weird, less comfortable angle, or move it out of the way, but it will be even further from my optimal place. Anyway, that would be an issue with any table, but still I need to come up with some solutions to these problems.
Also, I tried looking at other tables, but they look so cheap and not cool at all, that I'm not sure that's what I want. I really want to order now, so I need to think fast.
I also planned to answer letters in Slowly, but the game consumed me, so I failed to do that.
I wonder if the hat I bought suits me...
It does look cool on Sunshine, though.
I did some more research and I think I will buy either the same table as mine, or a pretty similar, from the same company. The problem is that it's hard to pick which one. I'll write down pros and cons:
Cougar E-Mars (the one that almost like mine):
Pros:
- Cool design
- Has RGB lights
- RGB sides help with things not falling from the table.
- Similar to my own table, will barely feel the difference (apart from the fact that RGB is dead on mine)
- Curved. Hard to figure out if it's a plus or not.
Cons:
- Sides won't allow a flexible placement of my second monitor
- Carbon texture on the table, albeit pretty, can be easily damaged by a fallen object, and it's hard to clean.
Cougar Royal 150 Elite
Pros:
- Flat sides will allow Anya to play "on the side", which might give me a more room for monitor placement, and better sitting position for Anya.
- Texture appears to be decent, non-carbon. Thus, might be less prone to damage.
- Would allow flexible monitor placement from the left side.
- "New look". Albeit a very simple one.
Cons:
- Pretty generic look.
- USB and other ports are upward-facing, meaning they are easier to "flood" accidentally, and it looks pretty shitty.
- No RGB.
- No curvature.
If you read my posts, do leave a comment which table you like most. Could be in detail, could be just the name of the table, I would appreciate that)
Lastly, Anya did try my gifted XCOM 2 game, and she didn't like it. I hoped she might, but no. So, the game is refunded, and she won't be playing it, and I guess we're done with XCOM then, no point forcing her. We didn't manage to play anything else today, so the new games will be left for tomorrow.
