My Dodge Spirit was having idling problems. I wasn't sure what to do so I called my brother. My brother started following me to my mom's from my house so we could fix my car. It shut down in the middle of the road on the way there. I had my 4 way flashers on trying to start my car. I was afraid if I kept trying to turn it over it would flood. My brother called me on his 4 way flashers blocked the road and people were driving around us. Tom taped the idle open so it would run. We pulled out of the road and he did what repairs he could so I could drive to moms.
My brother and I parked the car at moms and rode in his truck to Advance Auto. We bought some seafoam put it in the gas after we filled up the gas tank so break up the carbon that might causing blockages. We used it to clean the intake. My brother and took my Spirit for a drive and it drove like a dream. Many people wonder why I drive such an old vehicle. I got a vehicle from 1994 with less than 150,000 miles and a solid frame. It has only had 2 owners and the first one was an old woman who kept it in the garage and regular maintenance. Besides small problems here and there it's an excellent running vehicle.
My brother and I decided we are going to replace the fuel filter hoping that will assist in the improvement in gas mileage. My brother and I might replace the hoses on the car. There isn't anything wrong with the hoses but preventive maintenance is beneficial to a vehicle.
Tommy asked if there was anything he could easily fix at my house. The knob on my bathtub was leaking. Mom watched my son while my brother and I fixed my tub. It was a ridiculous easy fix.
Tommy and I as a preventive measure bought a fuel filter. We didn't have time to fix the fuel filter today.
Before my husband got off work I parked the Spirit at my house. I used my mother in law Mazda that we borrowed to pick up my husband from work and his cousin Mike. My husband is now at Mikes to help his his car. Mikes car was hit by a deer. My husband helping Mike fix the radiator.
I am at home now watching Shameless taking care of my son. I washed some bottles. Refilled my babies bottles put them in the fridge. My son had dinner.
If my brother isn't tired after work tomorrow I hope he will help me fix my washer and put a bottle washer in the sink. I owe him money for helping me. I am grateful for Tom.
