i got my paycheck yesterday and a good majority of it went to bills. i do not want to live paycheck to paycheck but i have to right now. i am paying off little by little all that i owe however as we all do (most of us) owe more so. i am paying off past debt right now. another $2100.00 went to a dental bill earlier this year,
i am super thankful i have a friend who is very knowledgeable with jeeps and his father works as a mechanic as a jeep dealer. i had him change my battery in the car. i just recently learned this year that with these auto start on and off cars (energy efficient) the cars have two batteries. the main battery is ok for now but the auto start battery had to be fixed. i expected to pay about $75.00 for the battery. i mean it is not even the size of a regular battery. instead of going to the dealer i went to my friends and purchased it at autozone. i paid $150.00 for the battery plus tax so it was about $175.00. i did not have to pay any labor costs thankfully. my friend just got a dog so i bought the puppy some treats instead and i gave my friend brand new shampoo, conditioner, hair treatment for his dog also. took 15 minutes but i had a nice chat with him while i wait. his dad told me that at the dealer the battery costs $300.00 plus labor. so it would be like $350.00 - $400.00 for the quick repair.
imagine you do not have the money to just replace the battery? imagine you do not money double the amount of money to repair small repairs on the car as the cost is now doubled for standard products and services.
