I had coffee yesterday with a new friend. We talked about living in Taiwan, the Taiwanese, retirement, Youtube and things related. I realized recently that all of all of my friends are new friends. And all my friends are all married to Taiwanese women. Finally I have found my tribe.
It is nice being part of a small club, one which is fairly easy to join. Essentially you have to be married to a Taiwanese woman and you have to want to retire in Taiwan. My new friend Michael will be retiring there in about a year and a half’s time.
And now that we have the pre-construction condo date worked out, my thoughts are turning to returning to Taiwan. I was thinking that I might want to spend six months again this year so I can get one year closer to getting my APRC - Alien Permanent Resident Certificate.
