birthday in book 1

 i keep on forgetting everyone's birthdays, which isn't very convenient since it seems everyone was born in september. my best friend told me that her birthday was coming up, and i had completely forgot. not too shortly after, my mom mentioned her birthday too. i didn't realize that two of the most important people to me were already so close to celebrating their birthdays. How could i be so unaware? i feel terrible, but at least i know now. hopefully gifts will make up for that moment of lost memory,,
