I wanted to write this weekend but BellPepper - my doggy makes kit hard to sit at the label and type. She thinks it’s playtime. So on Friday I went and had my nails cut down short for this new job. I was suppose to start today but asked them if I could change the start date. I need to really consider my options. So I turned to Chat GPT of course. Here are the details of the positions.
Office job- Monday thru Friday no holidays or weekends. It is 22 an hour which is livable for me since I am alone. No afterhour responsibilities- I would move closer to Ft Worth.
Salary job is 50 a year- but it’s every weekend and holiday and also 50 hours a week. It’s upper management so I would have to be available a lot.
The drive is shorter if I take the restaurant job. I wouldn’t have to move BUT I need to find a covered spot either way. After the house fire I bought a camper. It’s mine and it’s paid for. I could also get a PT job in food if I wanted to with the office job.
After take home and taxes there is only a 150$ difference in pay. No OT for the restaurant and it’s more than likely a late night job. I would be the new person. She said most of my shifts would start at 3pm and they close at 1am…out of there by 3am. I am a night owl but will this job take my soul?
I am leaning towards the ft worth job. It starts on the 22nd. I have 2 weeks to veg out and I am still being paid unemployment.
Decisions decisions. I called Alx and asked him…he said take the office job..stop working your life away. My sis said take the restaurant job because she thinks the drive into FW will be shitty. Of course it will be! hmmmmm
