Got took to see the new Hunger Games last night, it’s all showy and boom and if you like THG books then you’ll be gushing with giddyness… mostly tho it left me with one thought.

This movie is incredibly anti revolutionary.

If you live in Pan AM(erica) and want to fight the state you basically have two choices…

Either you are with District 13’s military caste who stockpile weapons, talk solidarity when it suits them have very little to do with the fighting but claim leadership, live in a strict almost Orwellian society that forwards the use of Katniss as a tool for propaganda and basically talk about the rebellion in the fashion (I’m sure many of you have experienced) that it should brought through any means, splitting us into foot soldiers and those more important.

Or

You are in one of the various segregated worker districts, who believe in Katniss and are portrayed as stoic yet blind in their fielty, they show minimal knowledge of any survival instinct and get massacred at every opportunity and don’t really seem to know what a shield or a timer is (Dam scene, I’m talking to you), they are just pawns being used and abused.

CHOOSE NOW (these are your only options)

Ofcourse it shows the Capital as similarly evil, all decadent and greedy, but that doesn’t mean the rebels are the goodies.

Anyways, The Trailer to “the Theory of Everything” made my friend cry and it looks just fantastic, save your dosh for that.
