A little this a little that in scarlet_dragon

I left early this morning to go over to get my new glasses. I might have them slightly adjust them when I’m back over there again but they seem to fit fine. They are a bit bigger than my last pair so my eyes keep seeing the frames and have ignored them yet. Plus my vision changed slightly so I can feel a slight tug which isn’t like the last pair was so a few days they should be fine.
I talked with the husband this afternoon to tell him we can expect our car insurance to go up a lot when we add our son and a new car to the bill. They already raised our rates 700.00 and that was without any accidents or tickets. The squeeze everywhere is being felt. I’m getting kind of nervous about it.
Other than that I spent most of the day just picking up downstairs and cleaning etc. Nothing too crazy. I’ve kinda taken a break from reading. I read some right at night right now but I needed a break.
I go grocery shopping tomorrow and will pickup the stuff we need for the start of school again. Can’t believe it’s happening again. This month I have a dentist appointment my son has one and a doctors visit which we wanted to be seen the start of summer that got pushed out because lack of doctors. I can’t believe it’s already August. January, February, March and April seem to last 100 days and then the rest of the year kind of flies by.
Mentally I seem to be holding stable. These are those good 2-5 days I get out of each month I think.
Anywho bills continue to rise across the board. Cable went up 30.00 for us. I’m waiting to see if this Disney+ Hulu merger will make my bill go even higher.If so I might have to just drop it entirely. I do use it but not at like 100.00 a month for it now. Some things are going to have to probably change for a few years again. Less eating out etc. Which honestly would be for the best for all of us. My son is completely addicted to fast food and junk food. I blame it getting out of hand during the pandemic because we all just stopped caring a bit then.
Oh well we win some we lose some as parents. I know it isn’t the best but somedays it was the best I could manage.
