I weighed in at 202 this morning, 45 lbs down officially. I haven’t been below 200 since COVID. I’m so stinkin close man. I could have easily been past this point by now but the medication (glp1) isn’t working as well as it used to so I’ve had to be a little more hands on with controlling my eating, which is fine. I can do it, I just needed to learn to not rely on the medication quite as much.
But tbf, the medication is still hella working. It makes turning down extra food and snacking so much easier, even when it’s a little tempting. It’s just that, before, it was working so well that I would cringe at the idea of overeating.
Now my concern is shifting over to keeping the weight off once I get closer to my goal. Goal is 175, but maybe a little lower. Just depend on how I feel at the time.
But yeah in the past when I’ve lost a ton of weight, I always gained it all back within a year. So I’ve got to try something different this time. My first thought is to lower the medication down to a maintenance dose. I think I have plenty where I can finish losing the weight and do that for a little while but, of course, I will run out. And it’s so heckin expensive idk if I can justify it. I guess my best bet would be to monitor the weight and see if it starts coming back quickly. That would tell me if it’s worth it or not.
