So, I'm terrible at the video game, I still play it every once in a while but I never do any of the ascensions or anything because I'm that awful, That being said, the board game is great. 
Its almost a perfect copy of the video game, the numbers are scaled down (Instead of 6 damage on a basic attack its 1 etc) and there are a few things they had to take out (Divinity for the watcher, plasma orbs etc.) but its a very well done game. All the cards are sleeved because you upgrade them by taking them out and flipping them around (Although the sleeves are kind of sub quality i had to get some new ones because they kept peeling, I might get matte ones to replace them, the only caveat with them is they cant be clear, and I still have about 120 i just tell people to be careful shuffling)
