After my previous entry about not using toilet paper, I was challenged by a fellow conservationist to give it up completely. I have already done so at home, but still use toilet paper when at work or other restrooms.
I agreed to the challenge for one month, starting November 1st, so I’m almost three weeks into it at this point.
When I first started, I didn’t really have a plan, and if I had to use the bathroom outside of my home I would just not wipe at all. I’d save the clean up until I got home. Obviously that is not the best tactic, and sometimes I really didn’t enjoy feeling so dirty during the day.
So then I devised a plan to bring to work with me some of my cloths from home and a ziplock bag to store the used ones. This works much better, but can be awkward to have to deal with. Not to mention, having used cloths in my bag when I get home can be a little gross.
But it got me thinking about be challenged to do something like this and wondering what other challenges I could give or receive. One I have been considering lately is not using my clothes dryer anymore and just line drying everything…
