Peace not trucks, cars and heavy equipment in Book Two

It is just another average morning except the guy on the corner is having a tree taken down and it is garbage day and I am out on the front porch at the busiest time of the morning - coming up to 9am, rush hour, the street is blocked with trucks and cars trying to cut through.

I move to the courtyard at the side of the house.

I spent most of yesterday out here too. Hiding out. It is convenient. It is secluded. I don’t have to worry about anyone dropping by for a chat, or to deliver the mail or a meal or a package. It is just me and my laptop, my cellphone, earbuds and book. A big cup of tea.

The pool is nice and clean. The water temperature reached near 30C yesterday. It is a small pool and in the sun all day. Heats up fast. I spent the end of the day, once the sun dropped behind the big trees in the back corner, floating and listening to Laurel Canyon hippie music from the early 70s.
