Hey the world is ending, dumb baby did dumb baby things, but here are a couple honorable mentions to books I like.
Ready Player one: This is a good book and a fun story marred by a lot of unfortunate plot points and thats why it has been docked. Ill listen to it, Wil Wheaton does a great job narrating it but... the stalker bits are really really really cringy (Basically a good part of the second half of the story) But its still got a lot of cool points to it, i like the idea of all these worlds colliding into a goofy sci fi romp. The second book is not as bad as people say it is, but its not as good. (There is a lot of prince and john hughes references in the book, and the author dropped the ball with the "Low 5" bit) But its not bad.
Red Rising. I know one of my favorite people loves this book and its good, but sometimes it was really hard to follow (Especially the first one, hunger games on Mars), but it was still not bad. I have the first 3 books, and I should get the other ones but we shall see. Good political intrigue and cool sci fi stuff.
WARP. Another book series i need to listen to again. (Maybe after seven eves) basically an FBI intern travels back in time to victorian england to take out a serial killer, then the second book becomes alternate history due to the events of the first, and the third............ the third was weird, about puritan england and all this weird stuff. Fun series of books, fairly light, (They are "Young adult" but good for any reader) The first book had some scratches on my cds which were kind of bad, which scares me about transferring it to MP3.
Man in the high castle. Fun story points (love alternate history books) marred by the worst ending ever. Good narration helps here.
Colorless Tsukurukuru Tazaki and his years of pilgrimage. Think of this as an honorable mention to an honorable mention. This was a good book but i dont know if id ever listen to it again. This book was....... HEAVY. There are a lot of HEAVY topics in this book, but.. it was a good book about the main characters personal growth story, but...... I cannot stress how heavy it was. I got it for 1.50 so i got my money out of it.
Dishonorable mention: Snowcrash. Holy forking carp this book was awful. I struggled to finish it. I dont know how this book was so influential, it was so bad. So so bad, and not to mention the SA that happens in the book with a minor!!!!!! I should have stopped it there but I didnt. For as great as seven eves was, this was the opposite. I will never listen to this book again.
And now I am gonna melt, and play some games on my switch (Dragon quest 3 and Final fantasy legend collection)
