Life has changed in Book Two

June the first and the weather could be worse. It is clear and cool, a little windy but I am out on my front porch in my hoodie and sweatpants, wool socks and fake crocs. It is just warm enough that my fingers don’t freeze.

I think a lot about the weather. It has such a large impact on my life. The thing is, I’d rather be outside, no matter what I am doing. Drinking coffee, eating, surfing the internet, watercolour painting… it does not matter what. I really should be living in Taiwan or Spain or Costa Rica…

And life has changed since I retired.
And life has changed since I stopped drinking the hard stuff.
And life has changed since I started going to be at 9 or even 8pm.
And it is a good and simple life, chill some would say.

My days start out slow and never really speed up. Just make a short video, take a short walk, maybe a short nap, a light meal or two… a life of moderation and serenity.
