9o9 in Book Two

Middle of May and I’ve been home from Taiwan now for about 2 and a half weeks. Already my other life is a faded memory. I feel living half my life there and half my life here that I am a set of twins. I completely understand my other half. I think the same thoughts. But I am in a different body.

The dishwasher broke. It’s new. It has to be reset. It’s not the first time it broke. This is one way that life is different here. With more stuff. There is more stuff that can go wrong. I really prefer a simple life where I don’t have to worry about the minutiae of things.

Today my neighbours head out west. They spent the day yesterday packing up the trailer. I happened to notice Alex put the kettle weights in the back of the pickup. Really? You’re taking your weights out to BC and back.
