The current administration, as well intentioned as they may be, actually thinks we can compete with future factory workers like this:

And they outnumber us 3 to 1.

We need to stay cutting edge. The US is the intellectual beacon of this world. Only way to compete with sheer numbers is superior intelligence.

Also, staying on the moral high ground allows for better social cohesion. Like fibers of pine straws banded together, enough of them can make a stack that is almost impossible to break.
