That's not a burrito in my hand in Book Two

I’m afraid my American friends are starting to not like me. It’s my own fault.
I have the rest of the world on my side, which is one of the reasons I don’t mind talking about Trump and the Republican Party. The other reasons are:
1) I’m retired now so I don’t have to worry about offending anyone. As a small town real estate agent, that was always something in the back of my mind.
2) It is liberating to say what you think. Take the filter off. I really don’t care if they don’t like my opinion. I’m old. I’m wise. I’m Uncle Bob at Thanksgiving.
3) Canadians take offence to the 51st state nonsense and most everything else about this administration.

In other news, my mental energy has been consumed by a local story from back home. I went to Reddit for the details and got more than I needed. As an aside, Reddit has devolved into a message board for complaining, doxing, asking stupid questions and rants and rages. It used to be a fun place.

Story is about a local real estate agent who was captured on cellphone camera, out on a sidewalk, calling a woman a fucking dyke. Not a good look. The story was picked up on the local news at 6, and on social media he was criticized to a high degree and of course his brokerage dropped him. Poor guy. One bad mistake. One bad day. I knew him. I did a transaction with him a few years ago. He was a hard working agent.

So, I joked to my American friend that maybe there was a job for him in Trump’s cabinet. Haha.
