Went to North Petherton carnival on Saturday night with Mum, Dad, sister, brother in law and nephew and niece. It was a brilliant night out and nice to do an event as a family. I am strongly thinking about going to Glastonbury carnival this weekend with a meet up group. I love the winter carnival, the floats, the music and all the lights.
I had to tell my business manager last week that I am undertaking my LGV lessons this week as so many people have been gossiping about it he eventually found out! He apologised about the lack of opportunities I have had at my existing job over the past 6 years and said he hopes things will improve if I stay there. That sounds promising if I don’t make it though the test on Friday.
Today was the first day of my driver training. It was a real mixed bag. I am not sure how I did. I am reasonably confident I didn’t do dreadful but I didn’t pick it up as quickly as I would have liked. The instructor said that I am slightly above average for the stage of training. At one point I was buzzing and full of confidence after a good driving session. Unfortunately, my last driving session was dreadful. I think tiredness played a bit part though. I felt knackered when I hit the pub for a refreshment drink and meal and snoozed on the train back… only another 3 days full training until test day – I can’t wait to get though these days.
Things that I need to work on this tomorrow;
- No steering without checking the mirror for positioning first.
- No panicking.
- Enjoy
The truth is driving is not rocking science it is all about taking my time and thinking ahead.
Anyway I best head off and get a decent nights sleep – Another tough full day of training tomorrow – can’t wait till its over!
