I’ve got a lot of private comments but 3 wanted to know how did I know I had a thyroid problem. Well here is my answer…I knew when my doctor at the time told me.

For a few years I was tired all the time. I mean I could sleep a solid 8 hours a night and wake up feeling I haven’t slept at all. In my late 20s and everyone just kept saying “that’s a part of aging”. Yep that’s what I got told by many. I was shocked but at the same time I believed them. Then the cold intolerance and heat intolerance came, heart palpitations, and hair loss. I gained some weight which I actually was happy about. Being stick skinny most of my life I welcomed the weight.

I won’t list all my symptoms but the most scary part was the hair loss, heart palps, and lack of energy. I went to a good doc at the time and he said “Let’s check your thyroid” and bam my TSH was 20 something. No wonder I felt awful. Once I got put on thyroid meds my energy level came back and if I felt bad again I always needed a dose increase. My vitamin d was 10, my b12 was 41 but I brought those up amazingly and felt even better.

Why do I feel bad now? Cause my old doc retired and I been searching for a doctor to pay attention and actually cares but they are hard to find. So my search continues…
