I feel like I have an insane amount of stuff to update on since I last wrote! First of all, my brother came to babysit on October 25th while Mike and I went to a theme park for the day which also had a Halloween event at night. He came over and played with the boys a bit before their nap as I told him details he’d need to know. Then they went for their nap and Mike and I left. We had an awesome time at Canada’s Wonderland. I love my kids like crazy but it was seriously like a dream to be able to go on all the roller coasters we wanted and not have 100 pounds of kid stuff and whining kids to lug around. I didn’t even bring my purse into the park so I didn’t have a thing in my arms. I felt so free lol. The bad part is that I was stupidly wearing my broken glasses (one arm broken off but they stay on fine) and they flew right off at around 4pm while I was on a ride. My eyesight is not that great at all so I was bummed but I was determined not to let it ruin my day. I kind of laughed over what Mike had to help me with. He had to point to which bathroom said “women” for me at which point he asked if I also needed helping wiping my bum lol. Um, no thanks. He also had to read food menus to me because I didn’t have a clue what they said and obviously he had to find all of the mazes that we were looking for to go through. They have 10 haunted mazes you go through and scary creatures jump out at you and stuff. Clearly I couldn’t see the detail of it all but I still was able to see quite a bit of it and quite a few monsters literally jumped IN MY FACE so that scared the crap out of me and I’m nearsighted so I saw them very well. It was seriously awesome! They do an amazing job of scaring people and creating the perfect spooky atmosphere. We got home around 12 midnight and my brother said he and the boys played nonstop all day and they all had an amazing time. I was so relieved because he typically only sees them on holidays so they’re not super close to him so I wasn’t sure if they’d cry or what. He is that “fun” uncle though that rolls around on the floor, acts crazy and plays with the kids nonstop instead of watching TV or something so that’s cool.

Several hours before Halloween night I had Cody help me scoop the guts out of our pumpkin and help me choose how to carve it. He seemed to enjoy himself even though he is not one who enjoys getting dirty. He kept using wipes to clean his hands and he would only scoop stuff out with a spoon. What the heck? lol. Cody was Captain American this year (wearing a costume I scored for him last year at this time for 90% off at Target for $3) and Miles was Superman, an old costume of Cody’s. We took Cody out for about an hour even though it was drizzly and gross out. That’s typical for Halloween here though. I’m pretty sure this is at least the 4th year in a row that it’s rained. Last year it was pouring so a drizzle wasn’t bad. We strapped Miles in the stroller in his snowsuit cuz it was chilly and all headed out as a family to trick or treat. Cody literally just learned how to say trick or treat this week! I was getting him to practice. Although to be honest he’s at the stage now where he will try to repeat most things you say. He has problems and can’t say his S’s, R’s or F’s yet though. So Cody had no problem going up to houses and saying trick or treat and thank you for candy. He had a great time until he saw a scary mask an older kid was wearing and started bawling. That didn’t last long though. We were only out about an hour before he said “home” and crawled into the stroller lol. Good enough! And of course we have MOUNDS of candy now since we didn’t get many trick or treaters, we have Cody’s candy AND my MIL bought both boys a halloween bucket stuffed to the brim with candy. Oh boy…and here I am wanting to eat healthier. It’s not easy with all of that around!

So I’m feeling rather rich lately. Even though I’m far from it. The extra money is fabulous though! My birthday is tomorrow so different family members have been giving me gift cards and cash here and there (I think like $200 in gift cards and $200 in cash). I love birthdays lol. Oh and not only that but I get weekly Jamberry pay, bonuses on the 10th of the month and the strangest thing just happened to me last week which has me wanting to dance today!! I got maternity leave pay from August 2013-August 2014 when I was off work with Miles. Well, in August 2014 when I returned to work I got my last payment. But last week I was paying a bill with my online banking and saw a random mat leave payment paid to me LAST WEEK for $550!! Whaaaaaaaaaat? And of course I saw it on Friday night so I had to wait all the way until this morning to find out if it was an error or not. I called them and they said my maternity leave payments were reassessed with a newer version of my record of employment from my company and so they were supposed to pay me $11 more a week for the 50 weeks of maternity leave.....resulting in $550 of money they owed me. Omg, right? Happy birthday to me!! That money will definitely help :) I told a few people I know and there were like “awesome! What are you going to spend it on?” lol what? I’m an adult and a mother and we don’t have a lot of extra money, I’m not just going to go out and blow $550. It will sit in my bank account and gradually get used as we need it. Maybe that’s boring but that’s my grand plan for it. I actually find it really hard to spend money on myself since I have kids and since I have a natural tendency to save. I’m going to get a few things for myself from the birthday gift cards I received but honestly it’s not even easy to figure out what since I don’t normally buy myself stuff. I’m sure I’ll find something :) Actually I did buy a Younique 3D fiber lashes mascara recently from my party. That wasn’t cheap but people rave about it so why not?

Anyways, I’ll leave you with recent pictures of the kids now. And don’t mind the picture of the boys in their costumes. I look horrible and am smiling really weird but it’s the best picture I have of them so just ignore me lol:
