We have a family dog called Mako. He is just turned 13 now and I absolutely hate him. Despise him… Always have.
It’s not his fault he is a completely useless dog, it’s my parents because they obviously don’t believe in exercising or training or doing anything that would of made him a little less of a shit.
He is an obese dash hound that rules the house. He barks non stop until he gets what he wants. He even barks all the way through every single dinner, lunch or breakfast people have at the table until you give him something. He BITES at people who try to tell him to go away (when he’s underneath your feet while you’re making a cheese sandwich waiting for scraps to fall). He’s just absolutely the worse dog I’ve ever come across in my entire life.
Well anyway… He has become diabetic (surprise) and has been on insulin injections. Now he is blind as a bat, along with him being old so his hearing is shot too. So not only is he now barking twice as much but because he’s so fat he can hardly walk anyway and now he has no idea where he’s going and my parents refuse to put him down? What are they thinking!?! Selfish selfish people.
So to sum up… Mako is OLD, OBESE, DEAF and now BLIND. And they refuse to put him down. Because he’s obviously having such a lovely life.
I tried to tell them he isn’t happy and it’s completely cruel to continue this but all I get is… and to quote… “Your dog isn’t even 2 years old yet, you have no idea what it’s like. If he’s not happy… We’ll just feed him more.”
Something seriously deranged about them. I can’t even right now.
In other news… My ex just got another dog and came around to show me him. He’s 2 years old and had been mistreated quite severely so extremely timid. So hopefully he picks up a bit, he seems content with him so lets see…
Was a bit weird seeing him today actually, since I haven’t seen him in a while. It was weird because he came around talking and acting like nothing had happened between us and hugged me and even tried to kiss me goodbye (which I turned my head and said I don’t think so.. Proud moment). But… He’ll most probably go back to not talking to me again or not seeing me or ages. Probably just wanted to show off his new dog. Probably just wanted to check up on me. Probably just wanted to screw with my head a little more.
