Real Quick News in Tea at the Cabin in the Woods

We went to Texas to see my son and daughter in law and they had a surprise for us. We are going to be grandparents! They are only 6 weeks into the pregnancy - and I, being a worrier, will be much more excited after they get past the first trimester. Funny how I had thought we would never be grandparents… but the kids are thrilled and scared at the same time. They had an ultrasound done Monday and the baby, now referred to as Sunflower because it is about the size of a sunflower seed, is 4 cm in length (which is actually about four seeds) and they saw the heart beat.

My daughter had gone along with them to the Dr. appointment and is very excited about being an aunt. She was also very happy to get home last night to her man. He was thrilled to see her as well and came out of the house and lifted her up in the air when she got out of the car. It warms the heart when your children are happy. Fingers crossed it lasts for a while longer.
