Happiness is talking to an old friend. Happiness is being comfortable. Happiness is the sun on your face. Happiness is acceptance, of your self. Happiness is a child saying “I love you”. Happiness is loving yourself. Happiness is a concert with a bunch of people enjoying the same music. Happiness is despite everything you’re OK, you’re satisfied, and you know true happiness is never constant but you know it comes again and again, and right around the corner is another one. Happiness is an airport. Happiness is holding the hand of the one you love. Happiness is morning cuddles and gazing into their eyes. Happiness is them holding your face, saying “I love you”. Happiness is a reliable person. Happiness is being reliable. Happiness is a glance from a stranger on the street. Happiness is helping someone with directions in a city they don’t know. Happiness is making a meal for you and your lover. Happiness is using every moment of life. Only here for a short time. Happiness is letting things go. Happiness is casting off old guards and telling yourself “I am OK. I don’t need you anymore. Thank you for getting me here”. Happiness is a fond memory. Happiness is family. Happiness is knowing yourself. Happiness is an old lady with so many people at her funeral when she passes it spills out into the foyer. True happiness is acceptance, that you can’t change the past, that you can’t change other people, but you can change yourself, there are no limits, and what doesn’t serve you you can leave behind.
