The last ship - Broadway musical in keeping it postive

The story of this musical is a dramatic one, a sad one in many ways. After all the industrialization in England, eventually the bottom fell out and the industries closed. This was the story in Billy Elliot, in The Full Monty and also here.
The music and lyrics are by Sting (of the Police). Rousing, excellent. Much of the story moves through the lyrics of the songsā¦ many songs.
The set was fascinating. Very evocative.
The dancing was MANLY! It was powerful - lots of grimacing, lots of stamping and waving of arms. It fit the story perfectly.
There were two stories - the closing of the shipyard, and the broken promise of a young man who had stayed away for 15 years.
I HIGHLY recommend this play!!

Oddly, my mind has been playing tricks with me. I had blinders on and only considered working Fridays would lead to buying tickets for Saturday matinee. I stopped thinking about working Tuesdays and buying tickets for Wednesday matinees. I work many more Tuesdays than Fridays. No work next week, but already planning for the following week. AHA!
