John was discharged yesterday from the Hospital’s Behavioral Unit. One of his friends drove him home and also took him food shopping He spent the day in opening his mail as well as going to Court for his DWI charges. The hearing was postponed into the middle of November. He told me that NJ has changed their law a bit and so all cases have to be resolved quickly. No more can postponement after postponement drag a case on for years. I totally agree with this call for speed.
Another of my friends a few years back was charged with DWI on New Years Eve directly in front of the church where we hold the Saturday Meeting. He dragged it out for 22 Months before his license was suspender.. He told us this at the meeting and then introduced the man sitting with him. He was the Prosecute as well as also an AA Member.
Now the work will begin on motivating him. I have a grouip pf men to help.
