I will write this story:
Pilates is not going that great. More details to come, but long story short is that I don’t have the right “energy” to teach uppity Uptowners and I have been banished to the suburbs to teach. I cannot teach the entitled, uptight, and downright HORRIBLE PEOPLE in my own neighborhood and instead must drive 30 minutes to teach the NICE SUBURBAN HOUSEWIVES!
Also I have been sent back to remedial training with a 26-year-old who told me that we will find my “inner cheerleader.” She also told me that I was “very sweet but that wasn’t going to cut it.” Since you know me, you can understand how HYSTERICAL that is. NOBODY CALLS ME SWEET!
Yes, this is humbling, but more than that it is HILARIOUS material for a story someday.
Bottom line is this: Teaching uppity Uptowners is NOT the end game for me – teaching OLD PEOPLE is what I want to do. I have the right “energy” for the elderly!

Ha! Weird to get that feedback, but whatever. I was in yoga yesterday and the instructor dissuaded an older woman from taking class. It is a pretty fast paced class, but I didn't think that was very nice. You can always take a time out or a variation in yoga at least, I thought! (Maybe not Vikram, ha.)
