Shores End in Book of Lies.....

It’s strange to watch footprints on the shore. We leave our trail in life and like those prints they wash away. They will never be seen nor are they a path we can trace. If the sea doesn’t take them surely the wind will erase them.
The only place they truly leave a trace is in a memory. As soon as you take a step it becomes a memory, a yesterday. You can try to put your foot right on the same spot but it will never truly be the same. Different sand, different step, different time, different you.
Standing at shore’s end doesn’t mean we have run out of land or choices. There is always choice. Just because the land is under the water doesn’t preclude us from stepping on it. It is merely a disguise and possibly a more difficult path. Difficult paths sometimes create greater rewards. Walking on the land beyond shores end may result in learning to swim or at least to float. Maybe you’ll find out you were never made to walk without the water to hold you up in the first place.
