I need to get my diet back on track. I am falling back into bad habits where I am eating junk at work and going to the shop where I am buying snacks along with my regular shopping. It is really annoying as I had got into good habits throughout September. Looking at the scales tonight my average weight is 17.5 stone, a weight loss of half a stone in the first month ;-)
It was my plan to go for a walk this evening after work. However, by the time that I had washed, eaten and rested it was 9:30pm. I am not overly keen on walking the streets at that time of night! However, I do a reasonable amount of walking in my job. The most suitable way of fitting a walk into the mid week would be to wake up a hour earlier and go before work.
I stayed on at work for an extra half-hour tonight to change the wiper blades and a number plate bulb on my car.
I have been looking at walking equipment on the internet this evening. It looks like I could buy a basic walking set up for around £100 (i.e. trousers, boots and coat). That will allow myself to get out there and try some longer walks. I feel reasonably excited about the prospect of doing some walking as my main fitness activity.
My Saturday afternoon plans are changing. I am now considering a road-trip to Willand in Devon to watch a big FA cup fixtures where they play Aveley. A fixture consisting of two of the smaller teams in the competition.
