I haven’t written in…geez. Long before our beloved OD closed shop, that’s for sure…
So, what have I been up to since then? Hmm…I’ve gotten married, went back to college, got an Associate’s in Web Dev (yeah baby!!), started a Bachelor’s but hated the topic, and decided to start back at square one with an Associate’s in American Sign Language. (Hey, if I’m starting completely over, I’m choosing something fun this time, rather than the “guaranteed employable route”. No work is promised anymore as it is, may as well have some fun while loading up on debt).
Also been trying to whittle down my to-read list, but the more I read, the more it seems to grow. (That’s not supposed to happen…) Also also, Goodreads is awesome for tracking aforementioned to-read list, and finding new goodies. And I just realized this may be part of my problem…oops. (If you want, you can friend me here so we can share the literature goodness together).
And, as always, there’s been plenty of family and in-law drama. All I can hope for is DH’s mother and sister to put aside their lack of civility before the holidays, but their track record is 3 years at this point, so I’m not confident it will clear up in 2014. (Say what you want, but one thing they’re not is quitters). But I’m having a good day, so these negative stories can stay tucked away for another time.
You think I’d have more to say with it being years since I checked in. Guess I’m out of practice, but you gotta start somewhere. Feels good to be back. (Let’s see how long it takes before entry #2 though…) :)
