At the moment things are generally on the up. It is almost a month since my last drink on the 6th September. My intention is to last 100 days without drinking. The first real test will be a wedding reception that I will be a guest at on Friday 17th October. However, I will be driving that will help kill the temptation.

My lorry driving assessment in Exeter went extremely well. I was a lot more confident. Although, I struggled with the gears and width of the vehicle. Hopefully, that will be something I will quickly get use to when I complete my lessons in November. I have made a commitment to slow down in my car when approaching junctions and roundabouts. This will help my when driving a lorry as slow appears to be the way to drive during lessons and a test.

I need to keep myself positive and happy at work. I have five weeks to get through until I am off to Exeter to do my driving. However, next week is likely to be the hardest as it’s the last full week I have with working with the snitch. He is off on holiday for two weeks and the other two weeks there will be a day each week where I will not see him.

Tomorrow, I have a few tasks I need to complete. I want to purchase a computer chair and I need to spend some money on my car to purchase new wiper blades and a new bulb for the number plate lights.

Last Saturday I had an afternoon out and watched the football with Paulton Rovers 1 V 1 Gloucester City in the FA cup. It was an enjoyable afternoon and it has got me hooked on football again.

I found things got a bit much last week with being out Saturday (footy), Sunday (parents) then with work all week whilst being out in the evening Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. I felt like a zombie Friday evening and remained in bed for 12 hours until Saturday lunch time.

My weight loss has been going alright. I haven’t put on any weight this month and I believe I have dropped a couple of pounds. However, my diet has slipped slightly the past few weeks on several days. I am strongly considering joining the ramblers to give me more opportunities to walk and meet people.

Finally, tonight I have decided to rejoin meetup. I left the site after a unsuccessful event in August. But things socially are going quiet from the end of October. So I need to try and find a few new events.
