To my far away friends, L & R:
We are in the middle of moving my Mom out of her house of 45 years, complete with hoarding of everything from all kinds of “recycling” to “community cats” (yes, the live ones!) Mom is moved, but we still have to empty the house. Plus, my sister and I have other obligations!
A couple of weeks ago Hubby said to me “J, I think you are letting this get to you.”
I thought for a moment and replied “I think the word ‘let’ is kind of harsh.”
Hubby wisely dropped the subject.
Both of his parents are still alive and kicking (very separately, of course) so he has no idea.
