so i have started to really like writing on here. i used to do it a bit on OD and when it closed i looked for another sight. my wife writes here as well as her sister so i thought that i would give it a chance. i find that i am able to write more seeing i am always, well it seems like it anyways, at work and being here gives me a little time to think and then write that way when i get home i am able to be just with them.
so this weekend was a good a time. it started out for me on Friday being all alone in the house for most of the day. at first it was good, but then i got lonely and a bit bored so i stated playing some Skyrim and working on my character on there. man that game can suck you in and drain the life out of you, in a good way though. so shortly after that i got bored with that and moved on to watching some movies i recently got. one of which i will never watch when i am alone again or at night. i have this HUGE fear of aliens. not ones like on the Alien movies with Sagornie Weaver, but the ones like on E.T, (yes dont judge me) fire in the sky and other ones that showcase the grey aliens. im still kind of recovering from that movie. so after that my buddy Brady called me up and wanted to know what i was up to. i said nothing and he asked if i wanted to hang. sure, why not. not long after that he showed up over at my place with some games. we have been talking about some of the good ones that have been coming out and ones that we both like so when he showed up he had a copy of Diablo 3:Reaper of souls still wrapped up. i asked him what that was all about and he told me that he got this right when it came out, cause he is a HUGE Diablo fan and has been with them since the start, and his parents got it for his birthday. he asked if i wanted to borrow it. i asked him why he hadn’t taken it back and got something else and he said that they wouldnt take it back cause the sticker was taken off of it and not all of the wrap was on it. it was missing a little bit on one side. apparently now we can get the gam eout of one side, copy it and mass produce it and stick it back without someone knowing. he didnt care and i did borrow it, cause i have been wanting to try it out. the game is great and i feel that i will be waisting a lot of time on this game. My oldest son has been interested in it as well and we started playing. it has been fun.
the next day we all got up and got going cause we had a lot on our plate to get taken care of. once we were all up and running we went grocery shopping. i like going with my family cause im usually working when they go, plus it is just some more time that i have to be with them. that all went down without a problem and we all headed home. when we left for the store i left my phone at home. when i got there i checked it and saw i had a text from my mom saying we could drop the kids off earlier if we wanted to. that was a definite plus. so we got them all ready and headed off to grandmas house for the night, so my and the wife could have some alone couple time. we dropped them off and headed out for our date day. we started heading out to The Red Canyon Lodge to go do some horse back riding and then eat some dinner there at the lodge. this is a big deal cause my wife loves horses and i have been very alergic to them for years. so i agreed to go with her and ride them. i was actualy looking forward to it. on the way there we spotted a dead faun deer on the side of the road and she got all excyted about it. ya see she is doing a research project for school and she needs large carcasses for the project. she is going to put them out with motion activated cameras and see who comes around to take a nibble. she has a hypothesis that some of the desesas that are spread are not done by scavengers but by other animals, i hope i got that right. so we took down the cordinates and then continued to the lodge. on the way there we noticed that the sky was getting dark and yucky looking. we hoped that the storm would miss us and we would be able to get some horse riding in. well that was not the case. disappointed, we headed home and started making other plans for the evening. we decited to go see Guardians of the Galaxy. it was a pretty good movie. i am glad that the movie didnt take itself too serous, otherwise it would have been too much to sit through.
after that we headed off to dinner. we decided to try a new place, well new to us anyways, a place called the 9 iron grill. yes it is on a golf course, just in case you were wondering. i thought that it was like a steak house, but it turns out its an Italian place. a very pleasant surprise. the food there was good and a good break from the humdrum places around our little town. i would like to go there again soon and try some more of the food there.
after that we stopped at our local walmart to pick up a few things for the rest of the night. we had decided to do some binge watching of some of our shows and have some junk food. we got some chocolate twizlers and a few bags of mixed candy corn. after that we headed home and got all snuggly and cuddely and started watching Orange is the new Black. its a show she started watching and i have been sucked into. its a really good show and somewhat funny at times. we only watched 2 episodes before we decided to head off to bed, mainly because i had to get up early for work today.
so on the whole the weekend was a good one. i love spending time with my wife alone reconnecting to her as a couple and as lovers. it is great getting to fall in love with her all over again and re-discovering one another. i look forward to the next date night that we get to have, or even just the next cuddle scession that we get to have on the coutch or where ever we are. i love her so much.
