Waking up at 5 am for work is always a good reason to splurge on an extra large almond joy at Dunkin. I placed my order with the gargantuan gent at the counter, as usual, explaining it is toasted almond, coconut and mocha swirl. He scooted over to his bubbling cauldron and prepared my potion of anti-nocturnum. I watched in awe and wonder as he began to liberate the sweet nectar of awesome from the bowels of my styrofoam chalice with, what I am guessing, was a mystic ladel of the coffee ancients. This was no ordinary java wizard. This man was obviously tutored under a wise and powerful magician of old. He tenderly placed a cover on my order and brought it to me with a knowing twinkle in his eye…

I now believe in ancient coffee magic.
