so today i woke up a bit late. well later then i usualy sleep when i am on graves, so i could go get my licence renewed. the old one expired tomorrow the 3rd. so this morning i called the DL office and asked them what i needed to have with me. no way was i going to play run around today just to get it done and over with. they said i needed a birth certificate or a passport, my SS card and 2 pieces of mail with my name on it. man i remember when all you needed was your birth certificate and that was it. oh well i guess. so in my mind i am thining of where all these things are. then i ask, well i brought all that in the last time, do i still need to bring them? she looked me up in the system and told me no, they have all of it. all i need is to bring myself and my cirrent DL. sweet. i then asked how much it was going to cost and she orriginaly said it was only 15$, but then she looked into it more and saw that the DOT had canceled my DL back on Aug 18 for not renewing my CDL physical card. oops. i dont remember getting that letter, but i have slepts since then and a lot has happened since then. i asked if will be able to get my DL renewed seeing it was canceled and she said yes if i was going to keep my CDP i would have to re test and i would be able to keep it. asl well as go and pay about 170 bucks for another DOT physical to go along with it. so that was a no brainer. so i got the regular class c licence and when on my way. stopped and got dinner for everyone and headed home. today i have been dragging ass all sleepy and not wanting to go in because of being to tired. oh well tonight is my last night and then i get some time off.
with my days off i usualy work 1 to 2 of my days off, just to get some good over time and to learn some new things going on in the mine. they help out with my position in the control room. that way of something gets messed up and we dont have a IT tech to help out i can walk someone through getting it fixed. but not this week. my father wants to go fishing on the boat one last time this year and seeing i am always working i dont usualy get to go fishing with the old man. thats what i call him, lol. so i was talking to Stef about what she wanted me to do about all of this. cause if i worked thursday like i had planed i would be gone form them in the morning, not seeing any of them till they got back from school and then being at work all day on thrusday and then getting friday and saturday off and then back to work on sunday monring. then i got to thinking again and remembered that my dad also wnated me to come over on thursday night and watch the game with him. will i can only do one of the other. i dont see him too oftem, and living in the same town makes it sound bad, but im always working and so is he. Me and stef talked aout it and decided that i could take my regualr 4 days off this week cause we will have enough to cover the budget and then some, just not as much extra as we are used to. it has been a while since i have taken my 4 days off in a row. a long time. im not sure what i will do with myself having that much time off. maybe i will go geocaching on friday or something? who knows.
so ong story short after i get off of work in the moring i will be going fishing with the old man one last time in the boat this year. then hopefuly this year i will be able to get out on the ice with him. i have missed doing that with him. love getting out on the ice.
