Today I am starting over with my diet and exercise efforts. I have taken a break from calorie counting for a while and while it was fun (lol) I need to get back to trying to shed the rest of this weight. I am still 165lbs so about 10-15lbs over what I want to be. I am going to eat around 1700 calories a day since I am still pumping milk. That might be too much so I am going to try to eat less than that but I will have to do it gradually because I don't want to feel like I am starving. My fitbit tracks my steps, calories burned and what it calls "very active minutes". I am going to make it my goal to get at least 10,000 steps on my 3 days off a week and 8,000 steps on the 4 days I work. My fitbit gives me a goal of getting 30 very active minutes in a day so I am going to make sure I get those 30 active minutes in somehow 5 days a week. The crappy part is that I rarely get any time to myself so this will have to be done through walks with the kids and random exercise inside the house. I am going to MAKE SURE I weigh 159lbs or less in a month so by September 20th. I even put it on my calendar :) I can do this! I am so sick of hovering around the same weight for so long. And want to be smaller.
I just took the kids for an hour and a half walk around town. We went to the library and then I saw someone with a bag of apples so we walked to the grocery store and got some for ourselves to munch on on the way home. It was nice just wandering around. It's about room temperature outside with a slight cool breeze which is perfect for walking briskly and sweating. It's 11:30am and my fitbit tells me I have already completed 47 very active minutes today as well as 8,000 steps. Will definitely meet my goals today!
