august 13 in twenty-eight

Tonight is my first meet up! I'm all kinds of anxious about it, but I'm sure it will be fine. And, if I do feel awkward and out of place the entire time, at least it's a few hours of needlecrafting time. It's a knitting group, but I prefer crochet so I'm just going to bring that. I went to The Yarn Shop last night to pick up some more yarn ($40 worth...yikes!) so I can start working on an infinity scarf. It's incredibly simple, so I can work on that and also not worry about socializing, if it comes to that. I hope it does. Otherwise, what's the point, right? I need to meet people. I can't rely on C to be my only relationship, and I don't think I'm doing him any favors by always being in his space, either.

Back to yarn projects, though: I made a button-up cowl last week and now I'm making another scarf, so I'd say my head is in full-blown autumn mode. I'm also coveting some boot cuff patterns.

Is anyone else on ravelry? I'd guess no, since I'm the only one I've ever heard mention it, and I don't know anyone else who does more than dabble with needlecrafts, but just in case...my user name is onacoffeybreak and I'd love to get new pattern ideas from other ravelers (is that a word?).
