i cannot party like i used to. i am feeling it even today. and i went out friday night. i have done absolutely nothing today and am exhausted.
friday night we were walking to the train and eric suggested getting a drink at the union station bar. sure, i said. first round ended up being beer and a shot of tequila. second round was some johnnie walker black. we were looking at the train schedules and somehow we just never made the train. midway through eric called our bosses and lo and behold, they were around the corner at a bbq place.
we showed up and had a beer with them. eric really wanted to get a steak at this place in east la where you make your own steak. they also have karaoke. so we drove over there and it became a long night. we got there about 8 and cooked our steaks and whatnot. both of my coworkers sang some songs, however, i am not a singer. so i just watched and enjoyed. i think i ended up having 2 beers there. eric started drinking a lot and i could tell he was going to feel it by the end of the night. his wife and her cousin came by.
that's where things got a little interesting. her cousin is nice and all, but eric was pretty drunk by this point and basically told her that we should have sex. not just once, but several times. with hand motions and all. funny thing is that she's a pretty catholic gal and works at a church in the gift shop. so even though she's 25, i'm guessing she's a virgin.
so after that, we ended up going to another bar in east la. it was one we had been to before, but they changed their name and some of the decor. i didn't have anything to drink there, but i think eric had a few drinks.
by 1 we were all ready to go. however, eric forgot his card at the last place so we had to go back. i fell asleep in the car and woke periodically. i was conscious enough to know that eric had been there in a while. his wife went to get in and apparently he was dancing and hanging out.
so got a ride home and got to bed about 2. luckily my event yesterday was about at noon. but really whenever. woke up about 10:30 and then noon. got over there about 12:30. it was a good friend's kid's bday party.
apparently there had been some drama between two good friends, the one hosting and another good friend who also was there. thank goodness it got sorted out.
i basically slept walk through the majority of it. around 4 i went inside and actually did fall asleep for a little. thank goodness people had already started leaving.
the nap was good since i had plans with eric to go roller derby at 7. he was coming back into town and thank goodness it was right around the corner. i think it took less than 10 minutes to get there.
it was pretty interesting. thank goodness there was a sign otherwise i would not have found it. it took a while to figure out how the game was played. but after we did figure it out it was more interesting. it wasn't very competitive since this was the second game for one of the teams. i think the score ended up being like 330 to 75.
i think it'd be interesting to see again with more competition.
got home and pretty much immediately passed out.
which brings us to lounging about all day.
