I now have 2! 1- painting my nails and now 2- Wheele of Fortune on my DS.
Back when KJ had a working regular DS, since Hubby got it for him used the hinge was weak on it so he got a set of like 3 DS' that were being sold extra cheap as parts because apparently none of them actually worked. 2 were black like KJ's and one was blue. Hubby swapped out the top of KJ's weak one for one of the parts ones and he fiddled around with the blue one because it looked brand new and he wanted to know what was up with it. It just wouldn't turn on for some reason. He did a little research on the net and found out it could have a bad connection to the battery on the inside. So he swapped out the little connection piece and IT WORKED! So he gave it to me so I could play all my old games from my original GameBoy and my GameBoy color that got smashed in the move to this house. Of course, KJ and I had to share a plug because we didn't get any of those with the parts bundle. Just before Christmas KJ dropped his DS into the bath tub or BK did (who knows) but we had already planned on getting him a 2DS so it wasn't that big a deal. He just had to wait for Christmas and I let him play his games on mine until then. Of course, he and BK were fighting one day and the charger cord got wrapped around the office chair KJ was sitting in and the cord ripped. Hubby attempted splicing it back together with no luck so I just put my DS away and didn't even bother with it.
The other day I was bored and the kids were fighting so as punishment I took the 2DS away (they were fighting over who got to hold it while they both watched Minecraft videos). Since I have been reorganizing my side of the bed I came across my DS that still had game in it that I never got to finish. So I grabbed the game and started playing Cookin Mama. (I know, it sounds dumb but the game is very addicting it just came with a set of games Hubby bought for KJ on ebay so it's not like I went out of my way to buy this game). When Hubby got home he saw me playing it and said "oh yeah, I was gonna look into getting you a new cord for your DS so you could go back to actually having something to play with" (since my kindle was taken over by the kids and I rarely ever play with the 2DS). I told him not to bother because I had just beat Cookin Mama and I had already played all the other games for years before that so it wasn't that big a deal.
Instead of listening, he found me a new cord for $3 (plus free shipping!) and he got me a game bundle of Jeopardy and Wheele of Fortune (I watch both those shows after dinner pretty much every night). It all came last Wednesday and he surprised me with it before bed Wesnesday night (so of course my ass barely slept that night because I was too busy playing). Since then I have played Wheele of Fortune every night before I fall asleep and when I wake up at 2am and can't fall back asleep I play it until about 5am when I fall back asleep till the boys wake me up. I have played Jeopardy too but it's not as fun as Wheele of Fortune. I just can't seem to stop playing it! So yeah, I got something to entertain myself besides redoing my nails every other night and getting the crap beat out of me from the inside out by HC.
I'm 34 weeks. So that means 6 weeks till 40 weeks and probably more like 4.5 - 5 weeks left before my c-section. I can't wait! HC is way too big to be so damn active. I fear he's going to crack one of my ribs one of these days. Not fun!
