I need a travel nebuliser... in Another Open Diary refugee

Yesterday morning I was feeling great... but I wore down as the day went on. The rain came down in SHEETS yesterday, and my lungs lodged a formal protest against the rising humidity even though I didn't set foot outside. I had to nebulise at four o'clock, and at five this morning I woke up pretty short of breath, but I wanted to wait until morning proper so I didn't mess up my schedule. I got up and used the nebuliser at 6 and then I went back to bed until it was time to feed the cats. But while I was up I got to thinking... our health insurance paid for my nebuliser but they gave me the cheapest model they could find and it has to be plugged into the wall to work. It's small enough to be portable and it came with a nice carrying case (which I keep it in to make sure that the cats can't chew up my tubing)... but it won't work without a power socket. And since this is Florida and we have these things called hurricanes that knock the power out at random intervals (and my lungs are the most stressed out by heat and humidity and mould spores) I need a travel nebuliser! Alas they don't come cheap... the cheapest one I could find (the 'travel' model of mine, which comes with a car plug and a rechargeable battery so you can use it plugged in or power-free) is $75 and they go up to a couple of hundred bucks. But that's a lot less than an ER co-pay would be. John says we should just get a power inverter for the car, but I think he's cheaping out... (friend's suggestion is a generator for our duplex, but we REALLY can't afford that!)
