We’re moving!!!

Jessica finally got an interview for a pharmacy residency and they accepted her! She said “ALL I NEEDED WAS SOMEONE TO TALK TO ME” haha. She’s right tho, 99% of the time they just send an automated rejection letter. Turns out her application was way too long and wordy (something she always struggles with) but her mom came over one day and helped her refine it a bit and it seems to have worked!

The only downside, it’s in Oklahoma. I mean, that’s not too bad because it’s still a reasonable driving distance away from home so holidays and whatnot shouldn’t too much of a hassle. But Oklahoma is… well, Oklahoma haha. Kind of drab and boring (and prob more conservative than even Texas). But it is what it is, it’s temporary (unless Jessica really likes the area/hospital or something).

So currently we’re looking into rental houses in the area but it’s really annoying to search for houses in an area where you don’t live for obvious reasons. But we’ll have to find something soon because we only have about a month left here. Speaking of which, we’ve started packing a little bit here and there.

Suck tho, because I really did enjoy living in Dallas and our neighborhood was really nice. However we were probably going to move regardless because the rental we’re in right now is pretty awful to get fixed. Like, I’ve had things in the house that are broken for 3 months and they just WON’T fix it. (so if you ever have a chance to live in an “invitation homes” house, consider just… not haha).

Anyway we will probably be taking some trips up there soon to find something and lock it down. Of course, the move will probably happen all at once but the sooner we get there the more time we’ll have to settle in and unpack before Jessica starts her residency. My only stipulations were 1. Garage 2. Office space. And luckily it looks like the cost of living in Tulsa is about half of that in Dallas, because the houses are about twice the size for the same cost. So small victories I guess (but yeah it’s still Oklahoma....).

Anyway, that’s basically it for now. I’ll probably already be in Oklahoma by the next time I write!
