#13 in 2023

How did the number 13 get such a bad reputation?
I have days when I can’t face my emails. Today was one such day. Email scaries.
The herd’s backlash against people on TikTok has been interesting to watch. This one rich girl recently made a reaction video complaining about the white bread, crisps and instant noodles in a poor woman’s shopping basket. Basically, giving the woman a hard time on the internet for eating “unhealthy” food. Tiktok went into meltdown. People stitched reaction videos. Commented on the audacity of a rich person complaining about what ordinary people eat.
(It was very insensitive. To make a TikTok about it, even more so.) There’s a cost of living crisis going on. Some people have to eat cheap food in order to pay their monthly gas bill! We need more empathy and less judgement.
It will be interesting to see how all this plays out. Will the rich girl
be hounded off the platform? Or stand her ground?
