My little sister moves into her new house in a couple weeks. I am amazed, my mom bought the house for 130K and my sister and her fiance will pay my parents $1,000 a month. The house is honestly REALLY ugly so I feel better than I did last time I wrote. My parents are also putting another 10K+ of renovations to make it look a little better but FOR REAL, most of what they're doing aren't necessities... Come on, do you think they need granite counter tops and textured walls? I don't. New floors and striping of the popcorn ceilings and hideous wallpaper, fine. But everything else, GET REAL!!!!! Baby will be here in 3 weeks..... And she gets married in 4 months. Baby shower was Sunday. Oh and they only used $4k of their $25,000 wedding budget (HA). My dad called this year "Courtney's year" couldn't agree with ya more, Pops. Old.
Aside from that BS.... Things are going well!
Danny FINALLY got me a puppy!! I could have done it myself but, I wanted to make sure I'd have his support. Esp because we travel a lot and he already has a dog. We decided that getting her will calm down our traveling... Need to save money because.........
He's going to buy a house in FORT WORTH! He has lived in Dallas since college (2010) and I love Dallas but, it's too far from work for me annnnd homes are way too expensive. He should be finding out if he got a job at Pier 1 corporate within the next week or two. If that's the case, it's a pay raise and he'll be living in my city!! If he doesn't get it, Dillards corporate is also in Fort Worth and he could easily get a job there. Basically, he has put in 4 years at Neiman Marcus corporate and won't get a pay raise bigger than 4% for at least 4 more years (his last one was 10%), he kinda hit the glass ceiling there. Not to mention, he wants to be closer to me, finally.
I would drop everything and move in with him buuuut my lease isn't up until February and I don't have a ring on my finger and I decided I won't live with him (again) until I get one of those ! Anywayyyy Here's a picture of my new baby, Layla. She's a mess but the cutest!
