Day 5 - A Time You Thought About Ending Your Own Life

When I was 15 I was dealing with some really horrible issues about my childhood that just wouldn't go away. I was also going through puberty at the same time my mom was going through Menapause. It was... hard. But to keep a sappy, long story short- I had my stomach pumped and got grounded for 6 months. I know what you're thinking- grounded?! How sick! How awful! And yeah, looking back, that was a wrong choice on the Parental Units part. But at that time, there was more going on, and we were just all in a really dark, confusing place. Being grounded is probably what saved my life.

That and God.

I found some scriptures that still means a lot to me, one that bolstered me, gave me courage and taught me how to forgive not only others, but myself. And that's just kind of beautiful in my opinion.

[[Leviticus 19:18 (ESV) You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord.

1 John 3:1 (ESV) See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.

Romans 13:8-10 (ESV) Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.]]

Day 6 - 30 Interesting Facts About Yourself

Seriously? THIRTY? I don't know if there ARE 30 interesting things about me! LoL! But here goes-

1. I'm like, ridiculously amazing at doing nothing. You don't even UNDERSTAND. I make it look easy.
2. I hit my then-boyfriend in the face with a 1 liter of Mt Dew when I lost my virginity. It was deserved LoL
3. I have really bad night vision, and I once drove into someones front yard thinking it was a road. It was the Chief of Police's house, but no one was home, so i just hit reverse and went home lol
4. One time I got lost in my home town. Because weed.
5. I can't sing on my own at all, like no, but I can harmonize so well that I can match a lot of people's voices. My music teacher loved it for when we sang a Capella.
6. I know every Beatles song by heart!
7. I once lost my best friend outside naked at a party, and then turned on the front porch light... And then forgot because VODKA. An hour later some drunk kid went outside to pee, and here came Tyler, naked and vengeful. It was like a Charleston Heston movie went to Vegas.
8. I used a lot of words that were popular in the 70's/80's. I.E. Choice, Rad, Gnarly, Groovy, Righteous, etc
9. The man who married the Hubster and I was Snackered. Like ALL FOUR SAILS to the wind.
10. I quote Monty Python CONSTANTLY. "The Aqueducts?"
11. I was published for the first time when I was 15.
12. My first job was at a computer graphics company, I was playing around one night and the fake ad I made was actually purchased by Sally Henson and displayed at random WalMart and Targets. (not actually as cool as it sounds, but still.)
13. I danced for 12 years.
14. I've seen 2 dead bodies. NOT at funerals.
15. Once, I rode a Goat across a field. IT WAS LIFE CHANGING (no drugs were used in the making of this adventure).
16. I couldn't tell time till I was 13.
17. I lost my first kiss at almost 17.
18. I'm Swedish. As in, my great Gram immigrated. (She's also still living, which is hella rad.)
19. I have 3 tattoos?
20. I've had 6 different piercings in my life.
21. I have 3 children, and want another one!
22. I secretly like to Booty Dance. A lot.
23. I went from mega extrovert to mega introvert because NETFLIX.
24. I homeschool my kids. They recently took a test and scored higher than kids their age who attend public school.
25. I actually REALLY enjoy my In-Laws. Mostly because they're awesome.
26. My dad, who died while my mom was still preg with me, played in a band with Steve and Cassie Gaines (who later went on to play with Lynyrd Skynyrd).
27. My step dad used to threaten guys I didn't want "sniffing around" with his chainsaw (he owned his own tree care business).
28. I grew up with Keith Anderson. I called his mom, who recently passed Auntie. I miss her the most.
29. All of my grandfather's but one have died. The one that is alive is an alcoholic who smokes mad amounts of weed. I don't associate too often.
30. I'm awesome.

So, these are more random facts than interesting. Bite me. XD
