beer and snacks kinda night in What's Happening

Things are going pretty good at Chaz Co. The building that the machines are going to go in won’t be done for a while so I have them in a barn temporarily. There is power in there so I can run them. I’ve been spending a lot of my free time giving them the TLC they need. We got the machines for a pretty low price and they were functional, but are requiring some work to get them optimal. That is what I’m working on now. Part of me wonders if it would have been better to just spend more money on better machines, but I have to admit — I really didn’t know exactly what to look for when I was making the purchases. I use these type of machines a lot, but I’ve always taken how they function for granted.

For now I’m just going to continue what I’m doing and get them running as good as I can. The cool thing about being a machinist and working on older machines is that you don’t have to buy the parts you need; you can just make them! The bad thing is I need my lathe to make a part for my lathe, lol. So I will have to bring my part into work to make it.

I started burning my vacation at work, I had Friday off and I will be off Monday too. I should be out of there by June. I really should stop spending money! Once I get the machines running good I will have to pack them away good for a little while — while I do my traveling.

I’m going to drink some beer tonight and relax.
