The outdoor cats are loving the new garden. It has everything! A fountain, benches, and camouflage corners, PLUS it is near to the back door and a walkway, making it a convenient spot to engage in a cat's favorite sport, Human Tipping.

This is our two-timing boy, Jeffy. He is ours, but will disappear for hours or overnight and come home fat, and sassy. Every morning I can find him here, in his favorite spot.

Then there is Ziggy, who was once the house bully, and who thought we'd make an indoor-outdoor allowance for him. After the second time my hands broke out from petting our escapist, he joined the ranks of hunter....outside.

He saw the photo session and simply would not be outdone. So, true to s nature, he chased off Jeffy, and sat in his place, thusly:

Seriously, Ziggy?

So after all was said and done, and we'd gone and come back from church, this cold I've been harboring got the best of me, and I went to take a nap. Let's talk nap-busters, shall we? This is Dexter. When we first got him, he lived beneath the bedroom dresser, and when he did grace is with his presence, it was in the form of a beige flash across the floor. Time and patience brought our sexy Dexy to life. He is quite vocal and spares no decibels when it comes to warning our German Shepherd away from him.

I took the picture and texted it to my daughter, begging for the salvation of my nap. So now, I have the cold AND my elbow buzzed for hours after waking. Silly Dex.

Ziggy has such beautiful eyes!

Ziggy does have remarkable eyes. He's a remarkable cat. We picked him up at a garage sale. At the time, he was barely weaned - his mother was nowhere to be found. He came out from under a trailer straight towards us. We weren't even out of the car.
My daughter squealed her delight as I growled my warning to hubby not to give in to her. His response? "Actually - I'm going to be the problem."

So, Ziggy came home with us.

When hubby comes home from work, Ziggy jumps into his arms, one paw on each shoulder.

There can never be too many cat photos.

Great pics!

This has me wondering...was I correct in assuming that the black cat was Ziggy in the photoshop pic I did for you? Or was it somebody else...?

Yes. Ziggy is our short hair back cat. Minette has medium length fur and is more delicate in structure. Ziggy is clumsiness catonified. Minette is all grace.
